Social shield is a monitoring tool for parents that have kids on social networks. It analyzes data across multiple social networking sites.
It gives you alerts on any inappropriate activity. It analyzes their friends, posts, and pictures. You get 2 types of alerts, a critical alert and a warning alert. My guess is you have to setup the criteria. An email will notify you if there is a critical alert.
At the end of each week, you will get a summary of all alerts. You can view all alerts that have come in. You are able to dismiss an alert if it's low risk. Sounds good to me.
The one thing that can beat this is common sense. I implore all parents to just keep an eye on their kids. Learn the lingo, learn how to use leet speek. Remember, Google is your best friend for things like this.
