YAY!!! We won!!!The game was lots of fun. Towards the end of the game, we had a cranky 5 year old on our hands. It was he himself that said he wanted to stay for the whole game, so we did. After we got back to our neck of the woods, it was getting close to dinner time so we decided to get something to eat. We actually bumped into one of our old friends who moved away. It was good to see her again and play 5 minute catch up.
After that we went to the diner and had a bite to eat. I had the most delicious wrap in the world. When we get it delivered, its usually soggy, but it tastes so much better in the diner. If anyone is ever on the upper east side, the name of the diner is called the highlands cafe. It is located on the corner of 3rd avenue and east 85th street.

odd
so i'm home...looks like the doorman strike will not go through. for those of you who don't live here, all the nice building have doormen. those guys work hard but get paid less than 40 grand a year. they sign for packages, pick up dry cleaning, walk dogs, and most importantly provide a level of security for their building. i hope they get what they want. they're not greedy like those mta idiots.
anyhow, i'm home had a good walk, met a drunk chic that loved the dog and was petting her and calling her lovely. other than that it was pretty cool walkin around sans specs at night. the only hard part is taking out the lenses. i can take out the left one no prob, but the right eye is a bitch. needless to say its red at the mo.
time for bed.

my eyes!!!
ok so yesterday i made the decision to start wearing contacts. not alot of people know, well i guess now they do.
I have to wear them in stages, yesterday i had to wear them for 4 hours, today its 6, tomorrow its 8. i have to do a focus group tomorrow too for sunglasses, and it pays a nifty 100 bucks.
its really strange getting used to not wearing glasses. i have a case of phantom glasses, kinda like what an amputee goes through. yesterday i found myself pushing up glasses that weren't there at all. i just chuckled about it and went on my merry way.
right now they're feeling kinda weird, doesn't help that my eyes have been unusually dry lately, but i do have drops so that my eyes will feel better.
anyhow, gotta walk the dog. later!

holy schmoly!
I haven't written anything in awhile. busy busy busy.
Well lets see...squirt is off to a great start playing t-ball he really enjoys. I do to, its really cool seeing him hit the ball and run. I missed the last game cause, well that damn sinus thing is back again. *groan* Don't worry i'm taking care of it by doing a nasal wash.
ummmmmmm...my coworker rob left and now i have a new one who seems ok.
my folks are coming up for easter.
so the other night i took out the dog for a walk, and it just so happened to be garbage night. I spotted a computer that someone tossed out, and it had a removeable harddrive left in it. I guess noone could figure how to take it out. I managed to take it out and brought it to work to see what was on it. turns out that it belonged to an old fella. i found some interesting text files on it. i'm going to post his musings that i found, its pretty funny.

another sick day
ok, i took off again. i had next to no sleep at all. was up coughing n hacking. i hope its not the medication. i feel really bad when i call in sick cause i really love my job. i know i shouldn't because its my health. hopefully this will all be over soon.

ok so this sinus infection has reoccurred again. its almost 3 and i can't get to sleep because of it. so here i lie awake, listening to queensryche and blowing my nose. although i think my allergies seem to be kicking in too. like i needed that on top of this infection.
i'm on a different anti biotic at the moment and i just dropped some claritin generic from duane reade. this has got to be the biggest annoyance healthwise that i've had in a long while.
in other news...well not too much going on. i know everyone has heard about our record snowfall. it was pretty damn cool, we went out on sunday and made a midget snowman. the boy didn't feel like sledding down the bigger hills so we opted to sled down the slides in the playground. i started it off, and steph thought it was dangerous. it wasn't that bad, it was fun. the boy did bring some other toys, namely 2 polar bears. one went missing for a few minutes and was buried and packed because we were walking all over it and didn't notice. i was kicking the snow around in vain looking for the damn thing when i kicked it up. dad to the rescue!
after that we came home and had hot chocolate and i burnt my tongue...oh well. c'est la vie right? laters taters

ugh
ok so this thing has been drawn out for quite along time. the thing being this "cold", which in reality is a sinus infection. it seems that i am prone to getting them.
I hate this crap.
on a lighter not, yesterday i celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary. we didn't do anything spectacular. i got the missus some cookbooks to update the ones that she had cause they were old...and i do mean old. one of the old ones is actually ripped in half. she was happy. she got me this cool little wrist rest for me, it has these little beans in it. steve-o is a little scamp. he can't wait for t-ball in april. he doesn't even care about swimming anymore...just wants to play ball.
oh...my family forgot our anniversary, shame on them!

something odd
ok, so now howard stern is gone. the new format for krock is now called free fm. its an all talk format. so the question is...where'd the tunes go? I know that the listener base will be gone, the station itself will tank. now back home in dc, the station that stern was on, was always a talk station. there shouldn't be any problems there at all since they still have don and mike and the junkies.

day-um!!! the skins won again! i'm psyched cause there is a slight chance that they'll actually make it to the superbowl. i'm not holdin my breath though. i'm still trying to figure out what type of bug it is that i have. it hasn't let up and its been over a week already, just a dry cough that produces a little phlegm...i'm stumped.
