Ok, here's a story for your viewing pleasure.
Monday night, I took the dog out for a walk. I went my normal route, down 2 blocks, walked along the east river, back out onto 88th Street. Up on 88th i saw someone sitting in front of an apartment building, it was a girl and she was pukin. I knew she was really drunk so i just hung around to make sure that she got up and made it in her building. 5 seconds later she is starting to pass out. I ran over to her and asked if she was ok.
She managed to stand up and started goin on that she was ok and how embarrassed she was about bein so lit. i noticed that she had taken off her pants cause it was too hot, so i told her to put them back on and i'd help her home. She thanked me and i held her up as she put them back on.
Soon after she got herself together, we started off on our merry way to take her to her apt, trouble is, she had just moved to the city 2 weeks prior and could not remember what her apt number was or if she lived on 88th or 89th. We spent the next hour bumbling around trying to find her place. She did mention she was staying with friends. I suggested that she sit down for a few minutes to kinda clear her head, so we sat on a stoop and talked for a few moments. After that nice chat we got back up and headed down the block and she saw a building and said that it was her place. She tried her keys to no avail so we walked back to 89th where she told me that she was ok and could make her own way(she was still really fucked up). So against my better judgement i let her go. She thanked me and gave me a hug and apologized again for bein so messed up.
While i was walking I saw a guy and a girl who didn't seem so drunk. They asked me if i had seen their friend and i told them i did and let her go about 3 minutes prior. We rushed back to where i had left her and they went into a building. I didn't think she was there so i walked up an extra block and i spotted her a block away, and i hauled ass to get to her. When i got up to her, she seemed so lost and confused, but happy to see me. I told her that her friends were looking for her and she got a little teary. We started walking back, and another friend of hers, who obviously didn't go out that night came up to us and took her home. Again, i got another hug and apology from said drunk girl and let them go on their merry way.
So guys one crazy night in Manhattan.
